Wilson Logistics began as Wil-Trans in 1990, a trucking company based in Springfield, MO. As Wil-Trans we focused solely on service, our drivers and safety. Through the acquisitions of Jim Palmer Trucking in 2014, O&S Trucking in 2016, and RJs Transportation in 2017, Wilson Logistics was formed.
Today, Wilson Logistics operates as an asset-based third party logistics (3PL) provider with a range of transportation services including: Full Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Yard Management Solutions, Dedicated Solutions, and Power Only Solutions. Our combined fleet of 525 trucks supports our service offerings through two locations, Springfield, MO home of Wil-Trans and O&S Trucking and Missoula, MT home of Jim Palmer Trucking. Darrel Wilson's family and trucking family are one in the same. He takes great pride in the business that has been built over the past three decades and is fortunate that it has become a family affair. Darrel's wife, Lori, and his children: Lisa, Tyler, Kirk, and Kameron all work at Wilson Logistics today. Darrel bought his first truck in 1980 before he could legally cross state lines. 10 years later, Wil-Trans of Springfield, MO was established, currently a 250-truck fleet operating as a division of Wilson Logistics. Darrel and his team developed a genuine safety culture at Wil-Trans that has been infectious throughout the entire company, now Wilson Logistics. Wilson Logistics was formed through the acquisitions of Jim Palmer Trucking, O&S Trucking, and RJs Transportation thanks to Darrel's entrepreneurial ambition and the work ethic of his team. He plans to continue the sustainable growth of Wilson Logistics by executing and relying on the family that he has built.
Kameron Wilson thrives on the satisfaction and prosperity of his team, customers, and business partners. His charisma is accentuated by a genuine caring of the people he is privileged to work with. Kameron graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Transportation & Logistics and a focus in Accounting. After college, Kameron accepted a position with Maverick Transportation, LLC as a Pricing Analyst. After gaining invaluable experience in Little Rock, AR, Kameron joined his family at Wil-Trans in Springfield, MO. He has worked in nearly every department within the company including: operations, recruiting, training, and accounting before being promoted to Vice President of Wilson Logistics. Kameron worked with his father, Darrel Wilson, and his siblings during the acquisition of Jim Palmer Trucking in 2014, and spearheaded the acquisition of RJ's Transportation in 2017.
Ryan Farrell's kindness is spread throughout his family, his team, and the company. He is a husband of 12 years and a father to 5 beautiful girls. Ryan graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis. He has brought with him 13 years of Transportation experience from J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. and Maverick Transportation, LLC. His expertise encompasses pricing strategy, dedicated modeling, financial analysis, and profitability forecasting. Ryan's extensive financial and managerial experience in the transportation industry positioned him as the ideal candidate for a leadership role with Wilson Logistics, and he joined our team as Chief Financial Officer in 2015.
Garth Hill believes that investments in people pay dividends for a lifetime. This is the approach he takes in his professional life at Wilson Logistics and his personal life. Garth is a husband and a father to three great children. Garth received a degree in Accounting from Ouachita Baptist University and is currently an inactive CPA. His 25+ years as a transportation executive exhibits the breadth and depth of his experience, having served in the Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, and 3rd Party Logistics segments of the industry with immensely diverse roles. Garth has had the privilege of working at American Freightways, Inc., Burlington Northern Railroad, National Freight Inc., Integrated Decisions Support Corporation, Burlington Motor Carriers Inc., and Pam Transport, Inc. prior to joining Wilson Logistics. As our Chief Operating Officer, Garth brings his vast experience along with his passion for investing in people to the Wilson Logistics team.
